ABOUT PJ LIBRARY

The PJ Library is a cutting-edge outreach program that provides high quality, age appropriate Jewish Books and Music free of charge to children in the Merrimack Valley, ages 6 months – 5 ½ years. Thanks to generous local donors at your Merrimack Valley Jewish Federation and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, children registered in the PJ Library program will enjoy books or CDs noted for their high quality, beautiful illustrations and compelling stories. They are mailed directly to each participating child each month along with a reading guide for parents.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

The PJ Library in the Merrimack Valley is available free to the first 135 children ages 6 months – 5 ½ years to register in the “MVJF” area. To register a child, please click the link below and follow the instructions. You will hear from us within a week of when we receive your application.

If demand exceeds available spots, we will create a waiting list while we search for additional funding. Along with Harold Grinspoon, the visionary founder of The PJ Library, your Jewish Federation is committed to giving the gift of Jewish books and music to every eligible family that wishes to participate.

PJ LIBRARY CLUB

PJ Library families in the Merrimack Valley (those enrolled and those on our waiting list) will receive our PJ Newsletter and will be invited to participate in a variety of programs throughout the year. Our goal is to provide young families with opportunities to meet new friends and share enjoyable experiences.

PJ LIBRARY LEADERSHIP

Cantor Donn Rosensweig, the President of the Board of Directors of the Merrimack Valley Jewish Federation, has called for the creation of a committee to oversee PJ Library policy and program development. The committee will be comprised of members representing the spectrum of Jewish life in the Federation service area as well as early childhood experts and educators. Lori Gerber, an early childhood specialist and adjunct faculty member at University of Massachusetts in Lowell and Shelly Rainen, an attorney with vast experience in volunteerism and fundraising, co-chair our PJ Library Committee. Please contact Michelle@MVJF.org if you are interested in joining our new committee.

Michelle Soll, Program Coordinator of the “MVJF” and Assistant Director of Camp Hadar, is our PJ Library Program Director. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Michelle at 978-688-0466 or email her at Michelle@ MVJF.org.
